Solved, My Apple TV is Zoomed in and will not Zoom out

There may be some issues with Apple TV but the most irritating thing is the screen automatically zoomed in and can’t zoom out. This will definitely make a bad experience with apple tv and decrease your viewing experience.

You can use the Siri remote that comes with Apple TVs to turn off the zoom feature. Simply you have to tap the touchpad three times which is located at the center of the remote. You can also turn off this feature by going to General and Accessibility in the Apple TV settings section. To switch Zoom off manually via Settings > General > Accessibility screen.

How to Zoom out on Apple TV

If you have zoom in on an image on your Apple TV, but you unable to zoom out, then follow the same way you zoomed in or tap three times on the center of the touch screen pad on your Siri remote zoom out. But if you are now unable to zoom out then make sure you are not doing these mistakes.

1. Make sure you are taping at the center of the touchpad with the help of only one finger, if you tap outside the center will move the zoom focus box around the screen.

2. If you are tapping with two fingers at the touchpad will put the TV in panning mode. 

What I do if My TV still won’t Zoom out

If your TV is still zoomed in, then you have to restart the Apple TV. You can take the help of Siri Remote, Hold the Home button and Menu button at the same time until the Apple TV light flashes and if your remote is not working or lost then simply remove the power cord from the device and wait for 10 seconds and then again plug it in the device.

How to Turn the Zoom feature ON

1. Open Settings and click on the General option.

2. Scroll downward and click on the Accessibility option.

3. Again scroll down and click on the Zoom option.

4. Now turn the zoom function ON.

5. Press the TV icon on the remote to leave settings

6. Now you can zoom in and zoom out on your Apple TV.

To Zoom in, tap three times on the center of the Siri remote’s touchscreen pad.

To Zoom out, again tap three times on the center of Siri remote’s touchscreen pad and the screen will zoom out to its standard size.

How to Turn the Zoom feature OFF

1. Open Settings and click on the General option.

4. Now turn the zoom function OFF.

How to set Maximum Zoom Level

You can also adjust how far you can zoom in, and follow these steps:-

1. Go to the Settings of your Apple TV.

2. Go to General > Accessibility > Zoom.

3. Now choose the Maximum Zoom Level between 2x and 15x.

Summary

The 2nd and 3rd generation Apple TVs do not have zoom capabilities. On these older generation TVs, To zoom in on an image you will have to use the TV settings instead of Apple TV settings. Every Apple TV has a different zooming capability.

Apple TV 4k and Apple TV 4th generation have zoom-in and zoom-out features. By default, this feature is turned on. You can use Siri remote, to zoom in and zoom out. You have to simply tap three times on the center of the touchpad surface on your Siri remote.  You can also set the maximum zoom level in the settings.
